Life. It can change from one second to the next. I wish I could have known how life would be after high school. If you could go back in time and tell yourself from 10 years ago what to watch out for, would you? I don’t know that I would. Sometimes in life you have to experience things to really learn. If you could go back in time, it would defeat the purpose of experience. We make good choices and we make bad ones, that’s just how it goes.
Goals. When you go after what you want and achieve it, there is no better feeling. It makes my head hurt when I see people just wasting their lives away without any ambition to do something. To create, to be someone. Its interesting seeing where everyone from high school is nowadays. Some are stuck doing the same shit year after year.
I look at those people who I went to high school with and most of them have not done much with their lives. Motivation from person to person differs and everyone has different goals, but I would get tired of doing the same thing repeatedly. What bothers me the most is when people complain about their lives but do nothing to change it. What are you doing to change? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.
Some individuals do need some sense of direction though. Perhaps that is why they never advance. That is why some turn to religion for example. I feel, and this is my opinion, that the bible is a book that helps people become a better person. I do not believe the entire book is real but instead uses analogies and symbolism to teach people lessons on life. Believe what you will but that is what I think about it. If you do not harm others, children in specific, you are good in my sense of the word.
There is this sense of having to walk on eggshells now with everything. What you talk about, what you post on social media. Hell, even with this podcast I have been called out on certain things I have said on some of my episodes because it offended someone. It amazes me how some people can let such little things like words affect their whole self being.
One thing that has for sure changed over the years and it feels as if every year it gets worse and worse is this cancel culture. Everyone and their mom feel entitled to something. The universe, the world, or society do not owe you anything. But that is a problem with humanity. Animals never lost anything because animals have territory. Man has never had anything to begin with, so they take what they want. When you see animals in the wild, it is the circle of life how they say in the movie The Lion King. There are no borders to animals, there is no violence, it is nature. Survival of the fittest. Humans are truly a cancer to this world.
We have lost touch with nature. We have lost the oneness there once use to be. We also neglect something especially important. When you feel sick or break your arm, you go to a doctor to fix it. Why is it that when people do not feel well mentally, they say nothing? Why is there such dogma surrounding this? Depression is a real thing and people tend to ignore mental illness. Although I believe that everything is a chemical imbalance when it comes to diseases or disorders, most of the time, it still needs to be addressed. But if this stigma continues, less and less people will come forward as though not to be labeled as something. I for one have personally gone through depression and it is not a good thing. I have gone through periods of depression in my life because of my work environment. I have an extremely high stress work and environment and over time anyone will crack.
On this episode, we discuss a few topics with Daniel Muñoz. We discuss life experiences, creativity, music, and even talk about the new Star Wars movies.
